Just purchased a G5 1.8ghz. It has os 10.5.8 installed. When I start it up fans start, they turn off quickly but turn on about every 15 secs or so. I stat shows temp normal. One gig of ram and 160 hard drive. Any advice?

I would say let it fully charge over night,but honestly dont take any chances if its Apples flaw let apple replace it!The longer you keep the machine the more questions that will be drawn.

I bought it second hand. It's an older White iMac g5. The one without the separate ram bay. Think It can take max of 2 gig ram. It has a magnet on top of the case rather than at side for remote.
