I can confirm that the existing MBR patch instructions work fine with MBA 2011 Windows 7 to enable AHCI. All the usual caveats apply - disabling Sleep mode and the broken Bootcamo control panel applet. But all in all - it was worth it to get the TRIM command to work in W7. The system rating for the disk went from 6.9 to 7.5 after AHCI / TRIM was enabled.
