So I found some programs that let you customize many mouse gestures: Better Touch Tool, JiTouch, and magicprefs

However, what I really want to be able to do, is to use the rotate gesture as a dial for controlling the volume, when using the browser or video player. To activate the rotate gesture though, you need to rotate your fingers quite a bit, and the best I can customize is to move the volume only one notch with one rotation. Any solutions are appreciated! And I'm sure this would be a really handy gesture.

in BetterTouchTool you can do this. You just have to alter the required "degrees" and the block time (see http://d.pr/77Dd ) But this only works on the trackpad, not for the magic mouse.
