For those submitting stories.... ( http://www.macrumors.com/submit.php3 ).
You can now enter your forum username which will be associated to the individual story.
You can see PeterJHill's the first to take advantage (http://www.macrumors.com). Note: for submissions with multiple submissions, obviously, the first one will be chosen.
Why? Well, those that submit the most accepted articles may get some benefits... as yes undetermined... but we'll see. Mostly for fun.
