Why isn't the FaceTime cam centered vertically?

Just a random inquiry but I figure there must be a reason why the FaceTime cam isn't centered vertically, on the 13" at least. As far as I know, there's no sensor or obvious reason why it couldn't be centered. It doesn't bug me aesthetically, but I'm just really curious to know the reasoning.
