Just order a new MBA 13", will receive it in 3-4 days. I want to produce a disk image of my entire Mac OS X disk's contents before I install any app on it. In the snow leopard, I can do it with Disk Utility. But this need to boot from DVD, how can I do it in Lion (no DVD disk) and MBA (no DVD drive)?
Is the Time machine the only back up method for MBA running Lion?

With Lion to access Disk Utilities, turn on power and then hold the Alt key down. This will boot into the recovery partition, you can then use disk utilities.
