Hi,
Anyone knows how Find My iPhone actually works? i mean from the developer point of view, how do they do it? it doesn't make sense:
1. Settings -> General -> Location Services
The application doesn't appear here meaning it doesn't use CLLocation in order to receive gps coordinates. so how do they get gps coordinates?
2. I closed the application entirely (it's not active and doesn't run in the background) and i drove couple of kilometers away from where i was and when i entered http://me.com/find the website knew where i was! how??
Thanks.

It's Apple, it's their application, ofcourse they can do stuff you can't.
The GPS-Locator in your phone/laptop, makes it possible for them to check where you are at any time. Doesn't have to do much with location services (since it's an app from Apple itself.)
