Is anyone able to help me with the problem below.
I have an external hard drive which I used under Snow Leopard to keep Time Machine back-ups on. I have tried to do a back-up on Lion and received the error:-
There was an error preparing the Time Machine backup disk New Volume.
Unable to write to the last block of the device.
If I put the external hd into a PC it sees it, but it needs configuring as a new device. It now no longer appears on my Mac at all!!
I have tried the disk utility but it cannot format/erase due to it being Unable to write to the last block of the device.
Can anyone help get my drive working in my Mac again please?
