Can anyone give some insight on how difficult it would be to replace an iBook G4 screen? It's a 12-inch model, and the screen panel is pretty much destroyed. It's not an issue for me to get a working screen, but would it be a major pain in the @$$ to do the repair? Thanks!

Check out ifixit.com and search for iBook G4. Complete instructions can be found there. The job is not that hard to do.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPod; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8C148 Safari/6533.18.5)

I did that with a G3 just a couple days ago, it's easy, you can see the post either on this page or the next :D
Good luck!

Swapped out my ibook g4 1.2 ghz screen with a screen from a 600 mhz ibook G3, still works today three years later (ibook G3 screen is from 2001). I would rate it easy peasy. Not like swapping out the hard drive on an ibook, which is also not terrible, just tons and tons of screws to keep track of.
