Something I saw tonight was a device (basically a hard drive with a remote control), that plugs into your TV and plays DVI's.
The more I think about it the more I would expect to see this capability in an iPod sometime soon.
Go to the video store, d/l a movie to your iPod, take it home and play it on your TV.
Considering that d/l'ing a movie online legally shouldn't be too far away, we will probably see this soon.
