i had my ibook stolen at the start of february and after doing next to nothing for about 3months now the insurance company's suppliers decide to replace my laptop a week before Tiger is released.

bah. :(

if they'd only given me the money i could have had a new ibook within a week of losing it..

double bah.

EDIT: or am i misled? this thread: http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=121089 seems to suggest that i can get tiger on the cheap?

insurance conpanies are generally very stingy when it comes to PARTING with money! This is very typical. My parent's house got burgled and it took them well over a year to compensate.
