Safari how to turn off the save last web site opened

how do i try off the feature in safari to reopen the last website visited. every time i reopen safari it reopens to the last website visited.

/System Preferences/General to disable the resume function.

Or just press option-cmd-Q each time you close safari.

You can adjust Resume on a per-app basis with this app.

If you have the safari restore extension it could be causing this too.
