I've been getting some really small text lately on Mail. Anyway to make the normal message size standard across all emails? I've messed with mail preferences for fonts, but that seems to only affect the current email I'm viewing, and doesn't apply across the board. Thoughts?

This can happen when you receive a message that is sent in HTML format.
Go into your Utilities folder, then Terminal and type:
defaults write com.apple.mail MinimumHTMLFontSize 13

Change the 13 to any size you like.

If you want more control over font sizes, check this Mail.app plugin: http://noware-it.zxq.net. With it you can set the default font size for outgoing fonts. I'm using it and it's working for me...

I find that this happens a lot when someone on Windows Live Mail replies to a message that I sent. The message I get back shows my message quoted in some really small font.

Have you considered what mail client your sender is using?

Hi Tiki 35
That only works up to 10.8, once you upgrade to Maverick it no longer works.

Anyone have any solutions?
