Hi im new to macs and have recently got myself a g5 dual 2.0 its suiting me just fine at the moment although i am wanting to use it to back up my dvd collection. I am rather fussy about media and i like to keep a copy of any disk i have in case the original becomes damaged.

What i am wanting is some software that would copy a dvd and burn it onto a blank disk with one click. No change in quality just a disk to a disk at the touch of one button.

Can any body point me in the direction of some software that will do what i require.

Thanks

Joe

Burn (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/21992/burn) is the best freeware burner/disk copy software by far IMO. Still runs on 10.3 even.

Here is a direct link to the 64-bit universal version. G5's are 64-bit so it will run faster for you than the standard one. Just noticed the 64-bit link.

I'd recommend MacTheRipper (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/14414/mactheripper) and/or Handbrake (http://handbrake.fr/).
