Is Audigy NX any good ?

hi everyone,
anyone here using an audigy nx ? Just wondering if its a good buy and if it would work on mac. Any ideas for me to improve the sound quality? Anything else like it in the market? i switched from a pc with an audigy sound card and current sound from my mini is really dissapointing in comparison. Ive been lookin around other discussions. Pls dun recommend me some 1k++++ high end stuffss. wont be able to afford it... :p Prebably under $500 ;) thanks

I'm 99% sure that won't work in a Mac due to lack of drivers :(

What sort of improvement are you looking for? "Better" standard stereo sound? 5.1 output?

If you are looking for 5.1 then this (http://www.maudio.co.uk/products/en_gb/Transit-main.html) will work fine. I believe it's available from the online Apple store as well.
