Hi,
I bought a tv series on dvd last Christmas and have been viewing it on my macbook pro ok for months.
Recently, however, several of the disks have refused to run in any of our household's lap tops (2 macbook pros & an iBook), but DO run in the dvd player on our entertainment system.
One of the disks was functional on lap top one day and not the next, seemingly eliminating the possibility of badly burned or out-of-region disks.
All lap tops can run other dvds, so it doesn't seem to be an optical drive problem.
The disks were stored in their plastic case and not near any magnets or other obvious hazards.
Can anyone help me figure out what may be causing this and what if anything we can do about it? I'm stumped.
Thanks,

Maybe you changed your region code? Check those. It's probably not it, but just to be sure.

And you can always try one of those cleaning CD's. It's worth a shot (I'd say).
