File size not visible in "get info" window

Hello everyone,

I noticed a strange thing recently. Whenever I right click a file or folder and select "get info", the file/folder size always shows as "--".

However, if I select the file and press space, the file size is shown properly.

Does anyone know a solution to this?

I know that, but whether it's a big folder or a tiny file, the info never shows up. But it *does* show up when I select the file and press space.
