I have a mid 2007 2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac with 4GB RAM.

I'd thought i would share some issues i have been having after installing Lion.

Nine times out of ten when i start up my iMac I have issues with the Magic mouse. The bluetooth keyboard seems to connect ok, but in order to get the Magic mouse to connnect i have to slide the button on and off. Frustrating having to do this everytime the computer starts.

Another issue I was having was a checkerboard effect on the screen at somepoints. Twice the computer has crashed with a checkerboard effect on the screen, allowing me to move the curser, with a huge pixel block attached.

I have uploaded a video, showing the problem here:

Another pixel / graphic issue i have been having is sometimes the scrollbars render as a black mess / fuzz.

I though my graphics card might be on the way out?? I ran the hardware test, but no issues were listed.

Has anybody else faced these issues with Lion?

At first I only got this bug in Chrome, so I reported the bug in this thread:

With a link to some screen shots:

Then I discovered that I also got the bug in XCode, and even later in Spotify pointing the problem at Lion instead. It even seems to get worse by time.

For me this does not crash my OS, but I have one incident I suspect of it bringing down an application I was running, although this may not be relevant to this bug. The bug also resolves itself when the display or area gets refreshed.

I have also tried the "Upgrade to latest Flash"-fix that a lot of people are talking about, but it doesn't change anything for me.

I know this is not a hardware issue since I never had this problem before Lion.

Does it seem to be relevant to your problem?

Edit: Yeah, and I DO have the same problem with Magic Mouse. And it takes really long time to connect after turning on and off the power. The problem does only happen at startup either from sleep or shutdown/reboot, but far from every time.
