Hi, in the past few week I've been getting the "Chaging is not supported with this accessory" message on my iPod touch 4g. It used to only come up occasionally but know it comes up about 5 times each charge. I'm using an official apple wall charging adapter (don't know exactly what they're called).
I have dropped my iPod numerous times, but I don't think that's what's causing this.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

It's probably a faulty cable. It happens when they get old, or have been twisted and tangled. They're cheap to replace, just get a new one - it's handy to have a spare anyway. When you get your new cable, you're ready for a process of elimination - does it happen with the new cable? No? Then it was the old cable. Yes? When you plug into the wall adapter or a USB port on your computer? Everywhere? Then it's your iPod.
