Moving library to USB hard drive connected to Airport Extreme

So I'm gonna try and move my iTunes library from my Macbook to a USB hard drive connected to my Airport Extreme. Is there any way I can just move it to the HD via USB then plug it into the AE and have iTunes 'find' all the existing songs, ratings, etc?

As of right now just selecting the new library locale in the prefs and then File>Library>Organize>Consolidate looks like it's gonna take about 17 years. I have a 100gb library.
 
Yeah you can move it that way by moving over the Media folder within iTunes. Then open iTunes and try to play a song. It'll say that it can't find it, and ask you to browse to it. Find that specific file, then iTunes will repair your library with the correct directory structure.
