Doesn't have to be OEM, some aftermarket companies offer them. They can't be in an enclosure though, they look like this.

Well, if yours is MBP, it can but MBA cannot. MBA is 1.8" but that SSD is for 2.5".

Let's try OWC but quite costly.🙂

But for the price I'm seeing the 256GB Samsungs going for, you might be better off buying one from OWC (Link). They cost a little bit more ($30 or so) and have a little bit less space (240 vs 256 due to provisioning/extra cells), but they are way faster. And they're new, so they're pretty much guaranteed to work.
