Back in my old PC when I had a folder full of photos I liked to cilck one of them and imidietly start scrolling between all the photos in the folder using the arrow keys. Now in my new iMac when I open up a photo It just shows it to me in Preview and doesn't let me scroll.

I've found only two ways so far to sort of achieve what I want:
1. switch finder to cover flow - which isn't very good.
2. Import the folder to iPhoto - which is a bit of a hassle.

Is it possible somehow to quickly view the photos in full screen straight from the finder??

Yep.

Select all the photos (command-A), then choose "Quick Look." When the window opens, hit the little diagonal arrow in the upper left. Voila, full screen. Either swipe or arrow to go back and forth. A little menu should pop out along the bottom and you can click the arrow to do a slide show, or to move picture-by-picture, or get a contact sheet type view in a grid. Or add to iPhoto.

Enjoy.
