I downloaded clips friends put online (while traveling) via YouTube, they come in FLV, MP4 all 1080 x 756 etc, HD, my question is what format should i convert these clips too so the work flow within FCP Studio runs smoother, no render re render etc etc etc

I tried MPEG streamclip, using Apple pro res 422 (LT) that failed to convert all the clips, especially flv.

I tried Compressor 4, using Apple pro res 422

I dumped them in Premiere and did not need to render, all played back instantly, like fcpx and higher def but im no premiere fan, i do not even know how to rescale, crop or even use the ultra chroma key so i like to avoid having to re learn something just becuase fcp X has all the speed but no 3rd party plugin support (yet) and horrible GUI.

Hope to hear what you guys have to say, thanks in advance
