Hi,

I was just wondering how would you make a bootable lion usb stick with only one computer that already has lion installed?

you can redownload the lion installer from the mac apple store and make your installer from there.

there are several threads on this on MR, see if you can find them.

That won't work for the 2011 Airs tho, you have to use the recovery partition download and install on an external volume, and disconnect it when it restarts to install, you end up with the installer in the external volume and i think you need to do something so that you can boot back into your SSD
