Curious if any one has a home server and what it is used for?

Also what type of software do you use?

I'm not positive of the actual definition of server but I've got an old Windows XP (that's what came pre-installed) desktop that I use for keeping files for everyone on my network to access and use as a place to back things up. It's mainly full of music. :)

I have a G3 cube upgraded to a G4. I use it mainly for file storage. I appletalk to connect. Its running OS 9.2.2. There is no monitor on this machine. If I need to connect to it and see a display, I use VNC.

For the self-confessed acronym retard, what do all these mean? Well, I know the Print and BitTorrent ones.

Thanks. :)
