Movies ripped for ATV1 on ATV2

Since I think my ATV1 is starting to die, how do movies ripped for the ATV1 look on a ATV2? Don't want to rip over 400 movies again. Was hoping ATV3 would be released before I had to upgrade.
 
They won't look any worse playing on the ATV2. it's just the ATV2 is capable of much better output. I'm slowly replacing my rips of bray discs to that higher capability, but otherwise, they'll do just fine.

Of course if I get a better or bigger TV, that will show the deficiencies of those initial rips and DVD rips more significantly.
 
If your talking sd dvd ... pretty much visually the same. Both presets use an rf of 20 which means in general they will be visually equivalent. The atv 2 preset uses higher x264 options which will typically result in a smaller file. But again for sd dvd the two presets will look visually the same.
