FCP X and AIC

Getting ready to give FCP X a try. I have 2 small projects I imported into iMovie (AVCHD). Would FCP X work good with AIC or would it be better to finish under iMovie? Would suck to spend time trying and the output comes out bad. I do not have the original footage anymore. Tnks

It imports AIC without problem. Edits fine. Output looks great.

If you have iMovie11, FCP X will import your Projects and Events after installation. Can't remember if it did so automatically, or if it asked before, though.
