Any reason why this is worth more than the M51214U @ $299 USD? ($283 on Macgurus.com?).. is it a faster Processor?

Anyway, interested.

The value of it is based on UK prices - it sells for about £290 + shipping here. OWC in the states sell it for $399 + tax + shipping. I'm not familiar with the model you're quoting, I'll check it out.

Edit: the one OWC is selling is the slower, lower spec version.

Would this work in my iMac G4/800?

Pretty sure it won't! You'd need to do some serious bodywork modification to get it in!

understood, did not realize the UK prices were different.. and that I can see.
by the time you ship it, would be greatly increased price as well...

will keep watching the Gigas site for a clearance model I spose.

Anyway, interested, but feel your price needs adjusted.

Not sure about the model you've quoted. I do know that my CPU is a 7455B and guaranteed to run up to 1.467GHz. I paid extra at the time for this higher tested spec. It's been running really well on my Power Mac G4 - no issues whatsoever.

Mine is basically this one: http://eshop.macsales.com/item/GigaDesigns/GC5B1250S2/ but at a higher rated speed - 1.467GHz as opposed to 1.33GHz on a 133MHz bus (model number GIGGC5B1250S2Q).
