i have mac os x 10.7.1 lion on a 2011 macbook pro. whenever i open the lid it will wake up for a few seconds then go right back to sleep. this is very annoying! does anyone know a fix to this? i think this is a lion issue because it never did this on snow leopard

MacBook Pro wake from sleep issue
I am having the same problem with waking after sleep. I have a manual workaround. Instead of opening the lid completely, open slowly to the point where it wakes up and stop opening, wait for a few seconds and then open all the way. it has worked for me for a few weeks now since I upgraded to Lion.
It appears from the amount of activity on other forums that we are not alone with this issue.
Not ideal but rebooting each time was becoming a right pain.
