New to Mac and loved my PB so much I got a used G4 imac on ebay. Now I just want to get an Airport card for it. They run about $70 on ebay for a new one which I think is rediculous. I was wondering if anyone had a used one lying around that they may not need.
Thanks,
Andrew

Hey;
If you can find a new one for just $70, you should consider it a good deal, and grab it.
I have several used Airport cards, which I've been selling on EBAY: when one sells, I put another one up.
Every one of mine has been selling for the "Buy-it-Now" price of $94.99 plus shipping (And that's with no box, no CD, no manuals)--the one unopened unit I had sold for $105.
I don't think you're likely to do much better than $70.

If it's so "rediculous," get a D-LINK USB adapter.

94 usd? THAT is rediculous.
I just paid 79.99 for a brand new one. 69 for a refurbished one was possible...harder to find now i guess

You are right. They are refurbished (and with $17 shipping!) plus the guy has hundreds of them so I'm not sure if I trust him. I will probably just use the wired ethernet port and run a 50 ft cable to the computer if I can't get a card. Looks like $80 for the new Airport cards..

Thanks for the spelling lesson! I considered the D-Link USB adapter but the reviews I read were less than glowing both in terms of speed and compatibility. If you've had experience I'd love to hear about it.

No problem. My sister has been using it on her iMac for close to a year now and has had no problems. It has worked really well and done the job, so I guess I have to go ahead and recommend it to you. Good luck!

Looks like there are some new cards for $70+17 shipping on ebay. I think I'll have to just deal with the wires for now.
