Quicktime export H.264 error

I am exporting a video originally in DV Pro to H.264, same size, same frame rate, etc. It last 2 minutes and when exporting everything goes fine and fast but at 1/5 of the porcess it stops and get stuck ther for hours. I stopped the proces and did it again and the same thing. I manage to export at half the resolution (360x240) and fine but at regular 720x480 I get that problem. :mad:

I actually think the encoding takes way too long, about 5 minutes or more to move just a bit in the time line. I am using a 1Ghz 12" PB.
