Does anyone know of any (pref. free) facial recognition/biometrics software for OSX. What i want is some software which can be shown 2 pics and to tell if it is the same/different person.
I don't think facial recognition software is available yet for OS X, but is in development. The most promising for OS X seems to be not facial recognition exactly, but sub skin muscle wrinkling recognition around the mouth. Finger and thumb print recognition is out there.

It's hardly B.S. There is rigorous mathematics behind facial recognition and there is some extremely accurate software out there. Also, the algorithms are published for all to read, so there's no reason that somebody can't go out and write a facial recognition engine for OS X. I just doubt that there is an economic incentive at this point. I have seen facial recognition software for windows, and you can download a free, fully-working demo of it.
