Does anyone know how the performance would be running Guild Wars on a 12" PowerBook with Virtual PC 7? Is it reasonably playable?

no chance, sorry...

on my mac mini i could hardly get age of empires II running VPC (on win 98)
so i doubt you could play guild wars at all

Oh yeah, it'll play AWESOME! G4's are equal DOUBLE P4's ya know! So a 1.5 GHz G4 equals a 3 GHz P4! So that game will run BLAZINGLY FAST on Virtual PC! Emulation and all! No graphic acceleration and all! Isn't that just amazing?! Go and buy Half Life 2 and Doom 3 too and play them in emulation! Virtual PC!

No.

You want to play a PC-only game, you're gonna need a PC. I bet if the big 4 had the resources they had at Blizz, this woulda had a chance at being Mac too...oh well.

I use VPC 7 on my powerbook for writing ASP.NET webpages for school, and that can be painful. I wouldn't want to even think about a new game.


Old dos game do play kinda good.

Any game that uses the 3D capabilities of the PC's graphics card WILL NOT PLAY on VPC. There have been many, many, threads asking this very question. It just won't work.
