Did I sell it? Oh no - I talked my parents into letting me keep it. It was rather difficult but, well, it's done. And now, it's all MINE. For those of you unsure about getting a laptop now, don't be unsure. Because they're so, so awesome. The monitors are beautiful, the DVI port is a godsend, and... well, they're just great. Thanks for all the advice folks.
There's no reason to wait to buy an Powerbook.

There's no reason to wait to buy an Powerbook.Glad you finally got up the nerve to confront your parents on this - I think you'll be happy you did, and they'll realize that you're now (closer to being) an adult and that they should start letting go a little more.
