I've just noticed (on Apple's UK online store) that only the Power Macs ship with Tiger preinstalled. :eek:

Is this really the case? Seems kinda nutty to me that all the others only come with Panther. :confused:

Yep, thats true. They slowly update. You may get Tiger Disks with a purchase of a new computer. At the very least, you can purchase Tiger for very cheap with a purchase of a new computer.

i have heard 10 dollars american for a tiger dvd with any book or mac puchased after april 12 or something like that

Seems that way, though I believe Apple is throwing in copies of Tiger, like sliding them in the box while its still sealed before sending them out. It'd be pretty messed up to not be doing that, since they want to get Tiger out into as many hands as possible right? :confused:
