I've seen reports that it has the A5 chip.
But judging from the presentation, the only thing that's changed is the color and the price!!
If that's true then that means that after more than a year, that's what they were able to come with...
Very disappointing...

No such reports exist....there are no internal upgrades to the iPod Touch 4g.

The new iPod Touch 4G is expected to arrive very soon; hopefully today itself. Although dates had been just rumoured before but you never know when it arrives soon at your place. This device is going to be released within next few hours. It is expected that this new iPod 4G will share some of the features of iPhone 4. It might be equipped with dual cameras and retina display. It would be having memory storage of 32 GB. It is assumed to come after Design Verification Test or DVT from Apple.

There is already an iPod Touch 4G, and there has been no solid rumors of changes for an iPod Touch 5G. The current iPod Touch 4G does share some features with an iPhone, like music player.

Three won't be an iPod Touch 5G until next year, if ever.

There is a lot more to do than just Design Verification Test by Apple. There isa good deal more testing that happens after that before it gets released.
