Hey guys,
I tried looking on ebay for prices to compare on my powerbook. But I know that you guys probably have a better opinion.
I have a powerbook that I bought january 04'.
It is the 15" 1 ghz model, combo drive and 60 gig HD with airport and bluetooth.
I have 2 512 mb ram sticks to equal 1 gig of RAM
It's in excellent condition, I just want to upgrade to a new dual 2.3 powermac.
Any thoughts on what I should ask for it? I have someone who is interested but I don't want to say too high or too low of a price.
Thanks!

People say sell the Powerbook on ebay, but prices there are low. Dont know how some of those resellers stay in business at that selling price + Paypal fees+ ebay fees.
I myself would like to know a place to sell my powerbook where I dont feel screwed.

I have always thought that the eBay prices on Apple products were astronomically high. It seems like you can almost get retail value on the newer products, and even some of the older ones get high prices. Even after the fees and what not, you come out alot more ahead if you go the eBay way.
Personal experience: I sold my 3g 10 GB iPod for $235. They were selling in the refurb Apple store for $250. After the shipping costs, the guy saved $5...

I was thinking of asking $1300, but I was hoping to get a little more. Any thoughts?

I think the chance of you getting that here are almost ZERO.
On eBay, the chances are somewhat better.. I still doubt it though.

Try Craigslist (http://www.craigslist.com). You can list for free in as many cities as you like. Just write up some HTML for your ad and then copy and paste it for each city. Offer it for a little less in, or around, your city for pickup. Then put the amount you'd like to get shipped for all the other cities. It's worth a try since it's free! You can get good responses from there too!

Whatever you go, put in no western union payments. You'll be thanking me later. :) I once had a listing up there, took it down because I wasnt getting anyone interested except guys who had horrible english and wanted me to send it halfway around the world once I got word of a Western Union payment being sent. Ya, right.
