The screen goes nuts after a few minutes, and every now and then it doesn't even boot the fan just starts going like crazy so I assume it is the motherboard. The screen itself is in great shape, the LCD toward the middle along the bottom edge is brighter than the rest.
Specs:
G4 800 iBook Motherboard and Processor
Complete LCD from Wires to Front and Back Casing on LCD, hinges perfect.
Have a stock 128MB DDR RAM stick
Have a 512MB Kingston DDR RAM stick
Top and Bottom Cases and shields. Case in great shape, shields in good shape.
Frame in good shape.
Keyboard in good shape.
Original CD set
I-Skin Translucent Blue Keyboard cover
iBook G4 keyboard. Works perfectly.
Also have:
Internal Slot Loading DVD drive from a TiBook, works fine
External Sandisk Firewire CDRW Drive
I accept USPS money order and cashier checks. Out of state cashier checks take 5 business days to clear at the credit union so I prefer you send via USPS money order.

I just received a rude e-mail from someone interested in parts. If you don't like my payment terms than I cannot do business with you. I have sold parts here and systems to many people who have been extremely happy, and have a great Ebay rating as well. Please do not send email for escrow or tell me if I want to sell here to set up a Heatware, whatever that is, account as my methods have worked perfectly fine. I hate to do this but I dont need to receive rude e-mails. If your not liking what I have please move on. Everyone who has bought from me has received product in a timely manner, is always kept updated, and if anyone ever did have a problem I would do my best to resolve it ASAP. This gentleman insisted he had been scammed by someone before so I need to setup a heatware account. No offense but I have the product so I can ask it be paid for however I please. WHEW! Sorry to be a jerk guys but come on. Give me a break. Heatware, roflol.

Woaaahh..
This sounds like a logic board issue. You can get it repaired for free; I have on my iBook G3 800 (4 times now, but that's a different story).
I'm fairly sure the G4s are also covered, but I could be wrong. Surely it's worth ringing up Apple and asking, assuming you haven't took it apart yet?

It only takes me 10 minutes to put an iBook together now, lol. I believe it is only the G3's and not the G4's unfortunately. Even the first gen G4. :(

Heatware is a popular form of keeping sellers/buyers accountable. However, it is definitely more prevalent in the PC world, in case you haven't heard of it. Its also really nice in letting others see your history (buying and selling), but again, the accountability is one of the best things about it.
And if you didn't know how much larger the PC buy/sell market is...well you know the size means there are more people who possibly could rip you off. However, most forums have blacklists for trolls/bad traders. Ars or [H] are good examples of providing this information for the public. Also beerology provides a similar function as heatware. Then again, if you didn't know what heatware was, then you probably didn't know what beerology was. Anyway, if you hear about these things again, you will know now.

i just placed my order yesterday for my g3. i think that might work for the g4, idk not sure. my screen went crazy, then it was dim, then it would goto sleep once in awhile. i took out the y cable, and sure enough, the black cable going to the board to screen was broken.
while i'm at it, how much are you looking for the ibook and Ti book's keyboard?

Why are you parting out the Tibook if it works? I might be interestedin buying it if it works. I don't care about a broken hinge.

Oh, oops, sorry. Wouldn't you have gotten more if you sold it as working with a broken hinge? You can get a cheap hinge on ebay or something.

I ended up selling it whole. Was going to fix the hinge myself but then took it all apart and decided to just get an Alubook instead. Much easier, lol. No need for two broken laptops, though it worked fine, the broken hinge didn't make it very portable. :)
