Same with the Australian store. Also my local reseller is having a sale, im talking about hundreds of iMacs, G5's, and just about all of the ranges. I have i feeling this time unless its a new look to go with tiger or regular checks or something.

Man, this is exciting news! I'm gonna have to apologise to all those hopeful people over the past week who claimed new machines would come out this soon after Tiger. I'm such a nay-sayer. :(

Sorry. :o

New iMacs & eMacs followed by a massive global advertising campaign across billboards, cinema & TV.

Fingers crossed and clutching lucky rabbits' foot.

Well lets see I just ordered my 12" PB on sun therefore, must be dual-core 5 GHz G6 powerbooks, now only 1/4" thick et cetera et cetera...

Or just the slightly updated iMacs and eMacs, (possibly lower priced ibooks) "everyone" has been talking 'bout.

I think it will just be a eMac and/or iMac being upgraded.

Good call. :D

Hopefully it's an anti-metaphor for the high techiness that awaits us when the store returns...

I'm a bit cut-up - I went to the Regent Street store the other day, and just couldn't resist buying one of those EyeTV 200 units for £219 (as the price had dropped from around £250). You know the feeling - car double-parked, crowded store, last item left, snap decision... etc... etc...

The fact is that once a month they have a firesale there, too - usually 15% off stuff, but sometimes more...

A few months back, I nearly bought the same thing - but at £165! It was a returned item, and further reduced in the sale. My suggestion to you all is to wait until the last Sunday of the month - usually around the time the firesales occur. That way, you'll get further reductions.

By the way - I AM pleased with the EyeTV 200 - but I'll be a bit peeved if the new iMac comes with a built-in TV tuner...

Bahh!

;)

UK store back up. A bit slow. New iMac (2Ghz) and eMac (1.42Ghz)

Well the Store is back up and it looks like Thinksecret was dead on. I love the double layer superdrive on the iMacs and the APE + BT 2.0 standard. I wish the 400 GB drive was just a little cheaper though.
