Great news for Apple: 17,000 to start, ramping up to 63,000 iBooks in all.

The district's program, named "Power To Learn," plans for Apple to provide iBookŪ G4s to every student and teacher in the district.

OMG, how well funded is that school district. sucks to be a taxpayer though

As a fellow educator (jealous!), I am curious to see what the overall results will be. I am all for more funding for the public school, but in today's high stakes testing, and No Child Left Behind, I am wondering what good a computer will do? The iBook cannot bubble in a "B" on a test. Its too bad we can't teach anymore and use more real life scenarios to engage the students. I hope this program rocks and opens people's eyes. Good Luck Cobb County!
