iPhone 4 to iPhone 4s performance

Is it safe to assume the performance difference going from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 4s will be similar to going from the iPad 1 to the iPad 2? I have been watching some videos comparing the first generation iPad to the iPad 2 and was wondering if thats what i should expect.
 
its hard to tell, but i think we can expect the same type of jump.

i am waiting for reviews to come out before the 14th 🙂

It has the A5 in it so it should have a similar performance kick.

Well, theoretically. iPad to iPad2 doubled the RAM (256 MB -> 512 MB) and went from A4 to A5.

iPhone 4 to iPhone 4S will (supposedly) double the RAM (512 MB -> 1 GB) and go from A4 to A5.

I think you can safely expect the same speed increase, if not more. Initial impressions say it's quite a bit zippier, but iPhone 4 is no slouch.
