I just wanted to recommend Giles Bennett, a guy I have seen play recently who's music I am absolutely loving!
I have seen him play at my University a few times, initially at open mike nights, but more regularly at slightly more arranged nights around Exeter's pub's and clubs.
People compare him to Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Dispatch among others, but really the sound is just very chilled out and cool. He describes himself on the business card he gave me as "surf-rock". I'm not sure thats even a thing, hey, I hate genres anyway, but it really does sum up the feel of his music.

He has a bunch of tracks for download also. Check them all out, but I particularly love "Chosen to Lose" and "I Must Be Dreaming", these are some seriously cool tracks.
