I'm considering selling my 20gb 3rd gen iPod. Everything works alright, and its in great condition. It has only been in my hand, in the case, or in the dock, so there are minimal scratches. I'd include only the iPod itself and the white iSkin eVo case for it (bring your own 1394/USB cable).

How much might I get for this?

Seeing as a new 4G is $299 and yours is open, and adding to the fact that the iSkin adds no value whatsoever (trust me on this)... I'd say you'd be able to get 200 for it.

Would I get more if I included the dock (still no cable, though)?

Slightly, but I would only sell it if you have absolutely no other use for it.

$200 seems a bit optimistic. Not impossible to get, but I certainly wouldn't hope for any MORE than that. Probably closer to $150-$180. It is used/open box, after all.

I don't have a use for two iPods... I'll be getting a 30gb iPod photo in the coming months. I figured its better sold than sitting in a drawer.

I meant only throw in the dock if you have no intention of using it.

do the 3G docks work with 4G iPods or the 30GB iPod photo?

The AppleCare does help. I think that DOES solidify the price at 200. You won't get your money out of the dock. If you plan on getting a new iPod, I'd recommend keeping that. You'll only end up paying more for another one later.
