iBooks lost all data

Into the lungs of Hell
So, hey guys, I updated to iOS 5 GM build today.

And boom, all data in iBooks got deleted. All the books, PDFs etc are gone. Only the section names in the PDFs category remain.
For me this data was not very important, but what happens when all these apps sync to iCloud and due to some mess, lose all our important data?

Anyway, for now if someone can explain why iBooks lost everything. :|

My iPad does this all of the time. Really, really, annoying. The only common point that I can see is that it does so shortly after it has been connected to the computer and iTunes.

The books are there...and wham, right in front of my eyes, they just disappear. Once loaded back, bookmarks reappear.

This has been a recurring problem for quite a few users. A search will find references going right back to the original release.
