Local Weather notification widget.

Hi! Long time lurker first time poster, just wondering if any devs can tell me if the local weather widget in the notification centre drains the battery a lot?

I can imagine it would seeing as the gps icon appears frequently when you pull the notification bar down...

Anyone? It is a nice feature and I wanna use it but not if it drains the battery dry.
