How do I get all of my apps and folders back after update?

So I backed up this morning and my phone just got done updating and now, my home screen consists of the apps that come with the phone out of the box. How do I get all of my apps and folders back from that backup. Did I lose all my data from my games and what not? Any answers would be awesome. Thanks!

It seems like you missed the restore from backup step.

You can plug your phone and restore from backup to get all your stuff back.
