Not that it makes any sense, but it's probably because the iPad doesn't have the weather and stocks apps... thus no widgets either.

Only way that I'm aware of is to jailbreak - and no jailbreak yet for iOS 5 afaik.

I'll never understand why they didn't do this. Seems silly. Especially now that they've made the weather app better then before.
What I will never understand is why the iPod Touch still doesn't get a "Show battery percentage" option.

I also think it's stupid that there is no calculator app. There's so much real estate - perfect for a fully fledged graphical calculator.
