Let's see General Cybernetics take the lead :D

I usually buy from MacZone though.

compusmart (www.compusmart.com) and macwarehouse would be ontop of my list..since compumsart is the one of the only canadian computer resellers that sell macs...and macwarehouse cuz they have the best deals on macs in canada...even tho its not much off of apple's price

my favorite place to shop is the retail stores by far.... i mean, after all, that's the place i can see everything in person and mess around with it

but i don't buy from them the most or anything. usually apple store (online)... and probably general cybernetics will be taking over (assuming backdawg will get back to me.....) :)

Aside, from the online store, there are no aussie stores to pick from ;)

About the online store: over here it sucks since it makes little allowance for faulty product returns as one unsuspecting theaz found

I go and look at all the stuff at the Apple Store, but I don't buy there, too expensive. General Cybernetics has had the cheapest prices so far for me - I bought a 800 MHz TiPB there.

I work at a Mac Store so I just buy my stuff there and get the employee discount.

I would have to say General Cybernetics, since I helped with the web pages...I know, I'm biased. ;) :D

I needed RAM one day, and I wasn't just looking at prices. Return policies, particularly the restocking fees (even on defective merchandise), was on my mind too, and...

http://www.maczone.com

...had the best of both.

On the other hand, if they don't have it, it's either the local Apple store or the online Apple store.

How about PowerMax?

They bench-test each system before sending it out so at least your computer won't be DOA. Seemed like a good idea, so I got my G4 Powerbook from them.

Also Outpost.com: ordered a printer at 6:00 PM central, delivered before noon the next day! (That was a couple years ago, though.)

I'll have to check out General Cybernetics.

It used to be CompUSA where I used to work. Now I get stuff at my current place of work, Computer Showcase.

Buying from me is the best way to go.

1.) I have never owned a PC.
2.) I'm pasionate about what I do.
3.) Price

I buy from the Houston Galleria Apple Store.

I like to actually mess with the products I'm about to purchase.

I would say the houston galleria apple store, but it is sorta 3 and
a half hours away from where I live in Austin, so it really isn't that
great of a place for me to shop. But what I do is: 1) tinker with
what I want to buy at CompUSA 2) look at the price at compUSA
3) Get on the internet 4) look for the best price on the internet
5) buy it if it is well below the compUSA price 6) go back to compUSA
and buy it if it is the same/above/a little below the compUSA price.

A lot of the time those internet companies will give you a great
price but shipping puts it over the store bought price  ... It
is a shame. ;)

Online at the Apple store, just feel alot "better" about ordering from apple directly rather than some shady third party vendors.

I also have a CompUSA about 15 mins away, and an Apple store about 30 minutes away so those also.:(

Gosh yes.

Looking at the poll though, when second place goes to 'other' I think you may have the categories wrong.

Well, in the Apple store, you just get the special feeling of buying it in person at the coolest looking store in the mall. ;)

But aside from that, I like NewEgg because they have low prices on gadgets. And MacMall because they have neat bundles/offers for Apple products. :)

I like it when people search for threads before starting a new one, but this is a bit ridiculous....
