Can anyone share personal experience on how safe doing this to your system is? I have thought about putting a theme on my machine but worry about any negative side effects that might occur.

Ugh. They look like the multiplicity of crappy 'metallic' themes you get with StyleXP in Windows. No thanks.

In my experience using themes with ShapeShifter is very safe, I have encountered no problems, only aesthetic issues. If your system is updated ShapeShifter will disable your theme as a precaution.

I've been using ShapeShifter for a long time now with no problems. In fact, I'm running a Jaguar theme right now on Tiger. I miss those pin-stripes :).

Thanks for your reply guys. I will try out shapeshifter, a couple of those themes look pretty cool :)
