You don't really need tinyurls. You can abbreviate

[ url=http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=2322174&selectedItemId=2322101]name of song[ /url]

as follows:

[ playlistId=2322174&selectedItemId=2322101]name of song[ /playlistId]

(I put in extra spaces to keep the forum software from processing the tags. Don't include the spaces.)

As a matter of fact, Complicated is my current favorite. It was already in my shopping cart when I saw this thread. I just can't decide whether to buy the few tunes that seem best on that album, or to buy the whole "Poodle Hat" album.

eBay is funny too, and Hardware Store, while not a parody of a song I know, is fun for being silly.

Jurassic Park was a great one when the movie was out.

I get the joke of Bob but hearing the 30-second sample was enough for me, even though I have real albums by the real Bob.

I can't agree more with the lyrics of Achy Breaky Song.

The cow moo in Smells Like Nirvana was enough to make that song worthwhile.

We bought the "Even Worse" album based on Michael Jackson's "Bad", but it's not in the iTunes Music Store.

What's the song where he sings about walking in the snow to school, uphill both ways?

Gotta nitpick here. It's "Weird Al" Yankovic, not Weird "Al" Yankovic.

I have Complicated, eBay, and Couch Potato. I love them! I love how eBay is so true. People will buy anything on eBay! I am undecided on if I will use some free songs from the Pepsi caps towards Weird Al. (I was thinking of Yoda myself) :)

It's a shame what happened to his parents. He seems like a really nice guy making some good old fashioned parodies.

One of my favorites is "Amish Paradise" but I also like the whole UHF album, which coincidentally was my first album I ever had! So, "Eat it" and "Like a Surgeon" are on my list. Also, I like "Smells Like Nirvana."

The iTMS doesn't have his catalogue, so I can't link to those songs.

I believe it's called "When I Was Your Age." Weird Al rocks! I'm from Albuquerque, so I think I have a special affinity for "Albuquerque," which is one of the most bizarre songs ever written.

Also a big fan of the various polka versions of real songs. Classic stuff!

He may also have been thinking of "The Saga Begins"(It's not on iTunes). That's a parody of "American Pie" about Star Wars Episode 1

Frank's 2000" TV is the greatest Weird Al song. I also have a special place in my library for Everything You Know is Wrong (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=1855108&selectedItemId=1855061) and Since You've Been Gone (http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?playlistId=1855108&selectedItemId=1855059). And his polkas are awesome

Anybody else been to a Weird Al concert? I remember enjoying the live version of Party at the Leper Colony. Weird Al does a good job of recreating the sound of an original song when he parodies it, which I assumed takes some studio talent, but he puts on a pretty good live show too.

Yeah that one has to be my fav. It's even funnier when you realize the song is all from the perspective of Obi-Wan and follows the plot points of episode I. :) Albuquerque is really funny is it a paradoy of something though? Somebody told me once that it was, but wasn't able to give me the name of the original song. One that hasn't been mentioned yet is "You don't love me anymore" from the album "Off the Deep End" another classic Weird Al song.

BTW any Much Music watchers ever catch the 'specials' when Weird Al took over the programming? I think he only did it 2-3 times max, but man were they funny.
